Yay for Fey!
From news.bbc.co.uk …
Actress Tina Fey has won an Emmy Award for her satirical portrayal of Republican vice-presidential contender Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.
"Mrs Palin is an inspiration to working mothers everywhere because she bailed on her job right before Fourth of July weekend. You are living my dream. Thank you, Mrs Palin."

Gobbling up publicity
From www.adn.com …
Sarah Palin appears to be demonstrating her unflinching chutzpah by doing something that — so far as I have been aware — has only been done by US Presidents in the past.† To a backdrop of others getting their necks broken, she 'pardoned' a turkey. Are the american public now giving thanks that she didn't get elected? † An alaskan friend tells me this has never happened there in the past.21-Nov-2008 21:02 · Add Comment · Trackback ·

Joe Six-Pack
From copperwise.livejournal.com …
"
copperwise How do you document real life? - Hey there, Joe Six-Pack"
As it happens, I stayed up late into the night on Thursday to watch the Veep candidate's debate. Partially because 'The Debate' was one of my favourite episodes of The West Wing and I hadn't actually seen one of these head-to-head debates 'in the real' before (I missed the first Pres one as it does start at 2am and I was just too tired that night!) and also because I'd heard so much about (Joe) Biden and (Sarah) Palin through friends.
And I see what they mean about is Palin running for Miss America or Vice President?
Well I won't say it was the most exciting 90 minutes of my life (nowhere near!) and it was abundantly clear that both candidates had been very well drilled in what they were to say - and to not even murmur - in praise of their leadership contender. But is was interesting nonetheless.

“I always wondered what a wolverine would sound like chewing through plywood. Now I know: like Sarah Palin 'debating' Joe Biden”
