Chyrp

This site is mostly written using the Chyrp engine, to which — to make my life easier — I have created a number of extensions, known as 'Modules', along with rewriting much of the internal code. The modules can be downloaded from the Chyrp extend site or directly from here. They are all designed for the RC1 package release (Chyrp2.0RC1) and are © Alison Wheeler 2008, freely licenced under the GPL version 3 . Others have updated some of these for later releases of the Chyrp engine. Currently available are:

• Blogrolls Provides a managed XFN-aware blogroll which can be located in the sidebar.
• Calendar Replaces the current mont's sidebar Archive link with a calendar linking to each day's posts
• Gravatar2 Provides user icons on posts and comments
• ReadTwitter A cached server-side retrieval and display of recent tweets
• Schnell Fast and easy addition of links and images
• Wiklink Easy insertion of links to sites using Mediawiki, such as Wikipedia

In the pipeline and undergoing testing on this site are:

• Analytics — Enables the use of Google Analytics and similar services
• OpenID — Permits the use of OpenID as a user authorisation option
• Tweet — Sends a note to your Twitter that you've made a new post
